How Data Analysis Work

We provide public sector data related to local governments in Indonesia for research and decision-making purposes. Researchers could perform a simple analysis such as making side-by-side comparisons among local governments, a time-series analysis to observe the growth and trend of local governments’ numbers, or conduct a complex analysis using statistical software to generate meaningful insights and interpret the results. The database provide information which could also be used to learn historical data as well as making future prediction concerning local governments performance.

One characteristic of developed countries is the high productivity of quality research and the use of research results as a basis for public policy making. Higher education institutions in Indonesia are demanded to be able to contribute more to the progress of development through research. Services We Provide

Rs-service
PSDB provides data analyses which can be used to evaluate the effectiveness and the efficiency of local governments’ operation. The analyses might include those such as liquidity, solvability, budget variance, local revenue, independency, cash flow, and growth analyses. We also provide time series and cross sectional analyses to learn about the trend in a certain local government’s aspect and between-government comparisons.
Rs-service
We provide data for our members for mainly research purpose. Some of our data are abstracted from local governments’ financial statements and budgets, which include balance sheets, cash flow statements, and statements of budget realization and auditor opinions on those statements. Our database also provide data on geographic information such as population and area size of local governments, human development index and its components (i.e., life expectancy, mean years of schooling, and per capita expenditure). We are committed to continuously increase the number of variables included in the database.
